   3. Work on better Conversion rates, but you need traffic to play with that one!

   4. Make a 100 sites and work on 360 visitors to each a week.   

You are probally feeling snowed in a bit at the moment after looking at it that way, but it does give you a real idea of what factors need to be looked at, when approaching your campaign.

So before we run out and sign up as an affiliate we need to see if there are enough people looking for that item each month, to give us the traffic we need to make a profit. Overture is a good place to get a reasonable idea of the traffic volume looking for our keyword each month. It is also important to know that if we were trying to sell CAR BUMPERS, That not every one who types in the word car will be looking for car bumpers, so it pays to be more exact as the potential customer, will.

Ok we have done our research and are happy that we have found a decent product to advertise, with enough search volume for us to get some of the customers after some effort on our part and more customers as time goes by as long as we keep to our campain stratergy. Next we need to take a breather and think this through a little bit, seeing it is Winter it will not get colder than it currently is. So we should put some other things in place while we are building up our weekly traffic.

The first thing to do would be to set up an opt-in mailing form, so that way if your visitors like what they see they have an oppurtunity to sign up to your mailing list so as to keep informed on what you are doing, without having to return to your Web Site all of the time. This is also good for you, as it means that you have the oppurtunity to hand deliver a well thought out and targeted email to people who want to hear from you. It is very important that you do not spam the people on your mailing list or they will un subscribe or put you down as a spammer with their anti-spam software, not to mention that you just lost a valuable contact.  

Having said that l have not put an opt-in form on my own site as yet, but after reading that, it will be the next thing on the list. From the accounts that l have read most people experience at least a 1% sign up rate which does not sound a lot, but it will add up as you get more traffic. Also most people claim a higher opt-in rate.

Now we need to get the traffic!
