l am only going to look at a few ways to get traffic for
free, as l feel it is important to know how to do that first,
then when you can tell what your conversion rates are, you are
at a better place to work out if a Paid Campaign will make you
money rather than cost you money based on a Guesse! At
least this way, if you miss calculate you still have some free
traffic to soften the blow a bit.
First things first. You will need in-coming links from other
Web Sites. Just a quick point here before l get going, it is
worth spending a few dollars to get a good links program. When
l first started l raced out and got as many links as l could,
my links were being controlled by another company and after l
had over 2000 in-bound links they lost my links page for 3 days
and l lost over a 1000 of those in-bound links, not to be
detered l increased my efforts to try and get back over 2000
links. After putting on another several hundred links l had not
gotten any further as the Web Sites l had been linking to were
still removing them and l had no easy way to contact them even
if l knew who they were. To make matters worse after several
weeks l started to make some head way again, then the same
company had my links pages down for over 5 days and you guessed
it l lost most of my links from it. In all a few hundred hours
work down the drain, for the sake of not spending upto a $100
at the start, l have also seen some good programs for $10 to
$70 a shot all are different and have different features.
So we are ready to go now we know what we are selling how
much we need to sell and also have a Web Site as well as a
decent program to look after our links pages for us. So where
do we get links and what sort of links do we want to point to
our Web Site? There is already another web page on this site
with a lot of search queries you can use at Google to search
their listings so l will not re-hash them here. What we will
look at are both Reciprical Link Directories as well as
Internet Directories.
As with most things on the Internet
there are both good and bad. So lets stick with the
good !
There are heaps of top quality
Reciprical Link Directories on the Internet as well as heaps of
top quality Internet Directories. Just go to each and sign
up fill in the form and place a link back to them with the
details they tell you to use, if you are happy to do
so. This will give you some in-bound links to your
Web Site.
This is getting way long, so l am going to cut it short, but
in case someone reads it before l finish it, these are the
attributes that you would prefer in the links pointing to your
Web Site.

On a Static Web
Page
WHY?
Page Rank is a Measure of
Importance that Google places on that Web
Page, and it is transferable, in that you
then are counted as being a little bit
more important than you were before
because they are pointing to you.
Traffic
hopefully some of their visitors
might visit you if they can not find what
they were looking for there, also
the Web Site will get Spidered
a lot and then your Web Site will get
spidered and indexed more because of
it.

as it carries more weight that
way. It is like a Boxer saying you are a
good fighter, more people would place
more emphasis on it, compared to the
dentist telling them the same
thing.
Indexed by
Google so that way the Google Bot, will
find your Web Site faster, as it is
simply a script that follows links and
indexes what it finds. The Data that it
indexes is what is generated when you do
a Search for anything at Google. So the
Higher the importance that google places
on your Web Page the higher you will
appear in the Search
Results.
On a Static Web
Page this is because the Google Bot
can not follow Java Script as there is
the potential for it to be trapped in the
code. So in General a static page is a
safe bet. As Google can Spider them, and
Index what it finds.
Last quick point, as l said a
Web Page is Ranked, not a Web Site. So a Web
Site's HomePage may have a Page rank of say 5
and the next Web Page under it may have no Page
Rank or a Page rank of 0, which is where all
pages start, there can be many reasons for
this, but the point l wanted to make was to
look at the Page Rank of the Page that is
linking to you and not at the Home Page, as the
Page your Link is on is the Page passing
reputation to your Web Page. Also do not get
so caught up in Page Rank that you refuse
Pages Linking to you that have no Page Rank yet
specially if they are Related Topical Webpages.
If they are any good down the track they will
have Page Rank to pass onto you as you will to
those that you Link to.
Also imagine Page rank was a
Dollar and there were only five Links to other
Web Pages, each Link is now worth 20¢, but if
there were 20 Links then each Link would now
only recieve 5¢. The important point to rember
is that the Web page that the links are on
DOES NOT
DECREASE in Value, it is still worth
$1, even if there were 100 Links leaving from
it, the only variable is the value being passed
to the Web Pages recieving the links from
that Web Site.
